Dear Toni,

I would love to attend one of your workshops.  Just let me know when you have them. After a four-year hiatus from the Los Angeles acting scene, I've returned and am seeking new representation.  Unfortunately, I've run into a dilemma; I am 19 years old but look about 16.  Should I look for an agency that primarily represents children, or one that focuses on adults?

Thank you and look forward to meeting you,
Jenn Shagrin

Dear Jenn,

I would recommend you seek a talent agency that represents children.  From your picture you look as if you could be as young as 16 and that is really a hot age range.  Studios are always looking for older actors, i.e., 19 plus, to play younger actors, because then the studio or Production Company saves money by not having to hire an on set schoolteacher.  If you are under a certain age then by law there be  a schoolteacher on set and that can be expensive.   You will do much better being registered with an agency that will send you out for parts in your age range and younger.  There are many agencies out there that would love your look.

Thank you for asking about my class.   Please see below and give me a call. I welcome auditing, i.e., sitting in on one of my classes.

Thank you for taking the time to write.
