Dear Toni,

I spent 7 of the past 8 years as an invalid. A back injury benched me, two failed surgeries flattened me and complications nearly killed me. The doctors said I'd never walk again. Yet I'm now out there rollerblading on the Venice Boardwalk. I used the power of my mind to heal my body. Today, I teach people how to heal themselves. My Internet radio show, "Triumph Over Trauma," spotlights guests who talk about the challenges they've overcome, how they did it, and how the listener can overcome them, too. I learn so much from every guest. It's a blessing and a privilege to do this work.

Each week, a new guest talks about an emotional or physical challenge they've overcome, how they overcame it, and how the listener can overcome it, too. Topics range from AIDS to breast cancer to childhood sexual abuse. Audience response has been phenomenal. Do you think this would appeal to a wider audience?  If so, what's the best way to reach them? Thanks for your help! ... Happy trails

Love and light,
Moira

Dear Moira,

I think that is a wonderful idea for radio and television talk shows.  I once had a stage show called Channel Zero -- the lighter side of the dark things that happen in life.  This was a stage show where people would get up and talk about surviving disasters of all kinds in their life.  Your show sounds even better, because it gives people hope and if we can see how ONE person survived and how they did it then we feel we can also. If you wish to get this show to a bigger audience, edit the three or four best shows and make sure each one is different, to show the range of the topics and speaker; then call some of the Talk Radio Stations and find out if they are interested in sponsoring your show. Alternatively, you can get your own advertisers to sign up for commercial time – their money will in turn pay for your air time.  I did that with my radio show, The Romantic Intuitive.  I would also pitch this as a live TV talk show.  Your show sounds fascinating.  We all need to learn how to heal and bring wellness into our and other people’s lives.

Thank you for taking the time to write.
